Two or more courses are incompatible when the content of the courses is sufficiently similar and overlaps.

If you complete two or more courses that are incompatible, the incompatible course/s will not count towards your degree. This means you may be required to complete additional courses to be eligible for graduation.

To find out whether your course has any incompatible courses:

Go to the Programs and Courses website. Switch to 'Courses' in the Search for a degree. Search by keyword or course code. Click the course. Any co-requisite information will be listed in the course description located under the course heading.

If you require further advice please send us an email via Ask a Question or contact Student Connect.

What should I do if the timetable is showing a whole course or all classes for one course component as full? I have studied a/some Griffith single course of study course/s. Do I need to apply for credit?
